TF3D Alternatives?

Having recently upgraded from a PPC-6600 running SPB Diary (etc) to a Touch Pro2, I don't care much for the TouchFlo interface -- it is pretty, but lacking in function. My old Today screen running SPB Diary displayed a week's worth of tasks, appointments, and weather, along with easy access to contacts, etc. I am wondering if there are replacements for TouchFlo that have a maximum amount of functionality combined with some level of attractiveness.

SPB Mobile Shell or The default screen for wm6.5 called "titanium"

There's also nothing stopping you from going back to SPB Diary and "old school" Today screen plugins.

+1. Sounds from the OP's description that that old Today screen might be his best choice. If it works for you, why switch?

SPB Mobile Shell is what the thead starter is looking for.

Try that out. it has a free trial so if it's not whaty you're looking for, no harm done. But I'm positive that's what you need. You can put whatever info you want on your today screen.

SPB Diary was pretty spartan, but also quite functional. I was running a whole SPB suite of apps, but what I saw 90% of the time was actually just SPB Diary.

What frustrates me is that all the "pretty" apps aren't all that functional (waste lots of screen real estate), and all the "functional" apps aren't all that pretty. What I'd like is something clever that finds ways of showing a lot of information in a modern interface.

SPB Mobile Shell is the modern interface with a lot of information. Try it out.

Ever try Ultimatelaunch? It was a Today screen launcher that had endless custimization and tweaks. In my Mogul and early TP days, UL is what I used almost 90% of the time. Not sure if it is WVGA compativle (TP2) but might be worth checking out.
