What if I do this with the SIM card?
 

Anyone hear about the Gobi 2000?
I'm interested in purchasing a laptop from somewhere else and it comes with this SIM card slot. For some of the options it lists:
Open SIM card for Sprint
Open SIM card for Verizon
SIM card for AT&T.

So I get the AT&T bit. They use SIM cards for all their phones from what I understand. But what about Sprint and Verizon? How would they be using a SIM card? And what's "Open SIM"?

Here's what would possibly be cool: If I pulled out the SIM card from my Sprint TP2 and tossed it in that slot, what would happen???

i don't think the sprint card will work soldier. the phones are using them, but they have to be unlocked to work in the states.

melt your laptop. jk tp2 comes with a "dummy" sim so nothing will happen.
