how to activate side speaker?
 

i thought we had speakers on the side of the phone??

why is it that when i put my phone on the carpet and answer a call using speaker, i can barely hear the person... why do i not hear sound from the side speaker...

it looks like a microphone to me... on the opposite side of the volume rocker...

That's not a speaker. It's a microphone.

The Touch Pro 2 has two microphones for noise cancellation.

The speakers are on the back of the phone.

Did you happen to get an owners manual with your phone? Or maybe you could look into the FAQs section

Speakerphone is meant to be used with the phone facing down...... Speaker is much louder

How could you not realize that with the speaker grill being on the back that the phone would sound much louder if it was face down? Jah.

HEY what is your manufacturer date??? that has to be the issue!..
haha im just pulling your leg..

but it only has speaker behind the phone if the little mark on the side was a speaker that would be way to small!...i just use a bluetooth becus htc phones are pretty heavy to just hold to your ear im sure everyone agree with that lol i get cramps!..but only thing i had a speaker issue was maybe watching a movie with tilt up and laying on the floor that yea..
