buetooth issues- how to fix??

I am using a SPRINT TP2 with the STOCK ROM.. is there any fix for the bluetooth issues.. the issues I have are when pairing it with my garmin NUVI which has a bluetooth speakerphone, over 1/2 the time it connects but when the phone rings it goes crazy and doesnt activatethe speakerphone. ALso the hangup does not work when I press hangup on the bluetooth speakerphone nor my bluetooth earpiece.. any help would be appreciated.....

Have you tried running all your updates for the Nuvi. When I got mine, one of the updates it found was related to bluetooth.

YES I have all the updates.. this is DEF a TOUCH PRO 2 issue as I the NUVI works fine with my old SPRINT TREO 800W...

I hear some of the new ROMS have an updated BLUETOOTH DRIVER that SOLVES the issue.. can we get that to install without having to flash a totally new rom??

I also have a Nuvi and it was very iffy when it came to the BT. I was surprised to discover an alternative. I can leave the phone in my cupholder and have the audio out going through the stereo and the mic picks up my voice great. Folks actually tell me that I sound better than on the BT via the Nuvi and they still come over the stereo. I am waiting to see if the 6.5 update from Sprint will have a different BT stack as my searching says that is the problem. I tend to agree. My TP1 worked perfect with the Nuvi.

Re: buetooth issues- how to fix??

Well I found a registry hack that solved 99% of the bluetooth / NUVI issues I was having:

Modify the HandsFree plug-in:
HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\Plugin\HandsFree
i. Change SupportedFeatures to 45 (default is 1135)
ii. Add value HFBDA binary, set to same value as LastConnectedBda
iii. Add value HFDeviceType decimal 2

Modify the WIDCOMM bluetooth general settings:
HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\BtConfig\General
i. Change bdaddr to (no value)
ii. Change DisableReopenAudio to 0 (default is 1)

Reboot device

I think there was another thread somewhere that had a few additional REG changes to make this work (I cant find it now but the info is on my home pc so I will post later)..... HOWEVER .... Now, on the NUVI when I press MISSED, LAST RECEIVED or LAST DIALED I get "NO DATA" .. how do I resolve this???

Thanks...
