ok, since 12/30/09, the only thing that i have downloaded has been the ziggy/2016 cab...now, all of a sudden, my phone screen/keypad is totally different and i cant hear my incoming calls nor can they hear me...i have gone thru my settings and deleted as much stuff as i possibly could, all to no avail! i DONT want to call cust suppt and i DONT wanna have to go back to the sprint store so can u guys please help me retrieve my sound asap? my phone is soooo very pretty right now so PLEASE dont suggest that bad word--->HARD RESET! thanks in advance!

had the same thing happen 2x this week. only didnt install the 2016 cab. im using calks kitchen using 23014 and they both have seemed to be random.

Did you run out of battery to the point that your phone shut down by itself recently?

i know that i have seen several people post pics of their phones, unfortunately, i dont know how to do that but am willing to learn if u tell me how, slowly and step by step...im a quick learner tho!

dont know if you are on a custom rom but ever since the fix for the volume keys came out i have had this issue when loading some apps....


you have to see what you loaded and take it off..... may be a taskbar.... dialer..... etc


hard reset should solve your problem or if you find what caused it.


and hard reset is not a bad word... not that had to load everything... i dont load a lot cause i flash a lot but thats me...

Before doing the dreaded HR why not backtrack and get rid of each item that was loaded with a soft reset after each item dump. Worth a shot. I find most custom task bars don't agree with my tp2, but maybe thats just me or did you load one recently?

i dont remember what made mine do it but i took it off and did a soft reset and it was back to normal.

Orange is normally low battery, and green means new notification.

even if you find what did it chances are that it will give you problems... sometimes apps dont clear 100%


i would recommend a clean start.

thats what i wanna do but there is no way for me to check properties or something like that to determine when i last did a download/reset :-(

the only issue with that theory is that my phone has been on charger all day and i dont have any missed calls/texts...

find a rom you like and download it... flash it


like i said, i assume you are unlocked and flashed a custom rom....


start over....

yeah, thanks but i did a search and found that as well...dont know about the over heating but i did just remove it from the charger...thanks tho!

you may still have what is causing the sound problem on the phone.

the light may just be the phone over heating. like it was posted.

I had 1/2 this problem, could hear who I was calling or who was calling me, but they could not hear me. It was a custom taskbar. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it has been fine since.

ok, still trying to avoid the hardset, in my settings, i have something called Z_zoomadds....when i click remove, i get an error saying: Z_zoomadds was not completely removed. Do you want to remove if from the list of installed programs? 1st of all, i dont even know what this program is, how do i completely remove it? i have soft reset several times to no avail....I DONT WANNA HARD RESET!!!!

did you install the program or did it come with the rom?


if it came with the rom then i dont think that would cause it... other people would be having the same issue and you would know.


and yeah some apps dont always remove. REASON why i suggested the hard reset/ flash.


only delete want you installed on the phone... in the remove program area


any particular reason why you dont want to hard reset?

I just dont wanna go thru the hassle of reapplying all the cool stuff i have on my phone....my myphone and dashwire stuff is on my pc (which is down at the moment. just my luck!) and i got a laptop for christmas but havent yet learned how to use it completely...as it is, i really dont know how to reinstall my contacts back from my pc, so id be even MORE LOST working w/ my laptop....

download PIMBACKUP and save your contacts on the phone it self... you dont have to sync..... you can just save it to your card.


as far as the other stuff.... well it shouldnt be that bad.... i normally load one maybe 2 for a theme... one for taskbar..... one for the dialer..... thats about all i load.

ok, how do i get pimbackup? i know, i know...do a search! lol! im gonna hafta do the hard reset as i have now deleted all of my stuff in settings, except that z thing that refused to be deleted....here goes nothing!!! thanks again for all your help!

well hopefully you used pimbackup and did a back up.


if you did go to pimbackup and hit the drop down to see restore. it should be easy from there...

i only back up my contacts... i dont need to save anything else... of course you can back up more depending what you checked...

i just flashed a rom so im going to do this next myself.

i couldnt get the pim to work, i did all the steps but when it came time to hit done, after i put in where i wanted my stuff to go, i couldnt get the done button to accept mmy click...anywho, i went back to my trusty dusty myphone and hopefully it is syncing as we speak...dint want all 1782 texts back but u get what u pay for...i really appreciate u taking the time to help me....
