Internet Not working on tp2 for certain websites
 

Ok I have a tp2 and I normally download all my roms using my sprint phone while at work because its so much easier and faster to jus do a SD card flash. For the past few weeks I havnt been able to get on hotfile.com at all to download NRGZ28 Energy ROM and its really bugging me out completely. At first I thought it was the rom but it wasn't. I have hard reset my phone 3 times and flashed my phone back to the original tp2 sprint rom. I have done a thousand profile, PRL, and firmware updates. I have done the ##3282# restore and that doesn't work at all. I have soft reset my phone and I have tried to use wifi sharing on my phone to my laptop and try and make the download that way but yet it still doesn't work. I have called sprint and they couldn't do anything at all either. The most they cud have done was give me 100 dollars off my phone bill and nothing more. I just paid to get this phone unlocked and now it aint working right. It was working after the unlock but now its just pissing me off. I have done everything I cud do. I normally fix others phones but now the phone repair guys phone doesn't work and I can't fix it.... can anyone help me resolve this problem with my internet. I wud hate to switch roms since I can't use energyrom anymore because I can't get to hotfile... PLEASE HELP

Sorry to hear of the hassles you are experiencing. I noticed some odd problems accessing hotfile.com from my phone as well, BUT I was able to get to it using Skyfire without any problem. So I would suggest using Skyfire to grab the ROM and hopefully curing many of problems.

op remember we are usein mobile browsers so there will be places like megadownload like places that will not work rightvor at all without a more complete web browser (skyfire)!

thanks tht worked great. i cn access the sites nw... but nw i cnt dwnload anything... it wud say it dwnloaded. and it wud be dne in about 2 secondds but still no files... am i doing sumthing wrong

Was it squawking about "no file association" when attempting to DL?

Ok, try this solution:

1. Install Pocket RAR (post #2 has the cab) - LINK
2. Go back and try to download ROM from hotfile.

Geesh what a whiner. Returning the phone !! Calling Sprint !! Wanting $100.00 back.

Sprint saw abuse and blocked it.

Use a proxy. Among many other ways.

First find a proxy finder because they constantly change, for example

http://www.proxyforfacebook.com/

Then pick one and put in your blocked URL

I just tried this over sprint and it worked fine.

Watch out for virus and malware when looking for or using proxies.
