so...i awakened to a very upsetting message this am indicating that my sim card is missing. while i know it is impossible for this to b true (i keep my tp-2 with me 24-7) i dont know where the sim card is located, y i got the messagee, or y the situations seems to have fixed itself after a soft reset....any takers on this one? how can i verify that i still have sim card and how do i go about determining why i got the message in the beginning?

If your in the us it doesn't matter because you aren't using the sim card. For some reason the phone lost track of the card, but is isn't a big deal since you don't use it.

The SIM card is behind the battery. It may have slid out a little bit. You can push it back in so your phone recognizes it.

do we even need the original sprint sim card to be in the phone? is there any benefits to that? I took mines out and everything seems to be working fine. anyone know? thanks!

you don't need the sprint sim card unless you want to pay mad, crazy prices to use it out-of-country. it is unlocked for world use, you can pop any prepaid sim card in there when traveling abroad.
