Best Vent Mount?

Got my TP 2 a bit ago, and I love the thing. I never got a vent mount for my TP1 but I want to for this one, I'll actually make use of it.

I did some searching and haven't found much in the way of vent mounts. Does anyone know of one for the TP2? There's some generic ones but I'd like one that fits the phone instead of being a one-mount-fits-all kind of thing.

Any of you found anything good out there?

It is by pure luck that my old Palm Treo 755P vent mount works perfectly for my Sprint Touch Pro 2. It works so well that I even got the second one to be used on family van.

The mount I got is from here:

http://www.arkon.com/Palm_Treo_Mount.php

with the model # PTM129-S. The page is even updated to say it is compatible with TP2 now.

Hope you find it useful for you.

I've used mounts from ProClip for all my phones. Maybe a bit spendy, but several mounting options, great fit, and durable.

I picked up a $20 universal one from Best Buy when I got my first Mogul. I used to run my Mogul landscape with the keyboard out but it doesn't adjust wide enough to fit the TP2 in landscape so I just run it portrait. Since the stock UI on the TP2 is so much more finger-friendly than HTC Home was on the Mogul I've not really had issues using it like this in the car. The one thing I do hate about vent mounts is losing that driver-facing vent since the air is all but blocked by the mount.

I paid about $15 for one from autozone that works perfect and is adjustable.

I second ProClips. They sell the mount and the phone holster as separate products so you get the custom mount for your specific car and pair it with the custom holder for your specific phone. If you change one or the other (car or phone) you can buy just the part for the new one.

Agreed, they are a bit pricy, but I like it.

Noted, and thanks. This is probably what I'm going to do. Not 100% what I wanted but a ProClip is a bit out of my price range for something so simple, and this looks like all I should need.

I'll just keep hoping someone can come up with exactly what I was looking for, though :P Thanks all.

The one I got from Best Buy is a Bracketron vent mount. I didn't see it listed on the website anymore though.

+1 for the Bracketron. That's what I'm using. LOVE IT!
