yeah I even cleared the phone and put the rom back on the phone. pretty much as soon as I either I answer or the other party answers. would the weather have anything to do with it?

oh wow, you already loaded another rom and its still doing it, i don't think i have anything to offer, sorry. the updating weather should not affect you making calls.

First off how is your coverage in your area? Secondly has your phone ever been dropped or damaged in any way? You also have to remember that cell tower get bombarded with alot of cell users and if there are to many of them...it will drop calls to different phones...sadly thats how they keep it from getting overloaded. Your antenna could be damaged..you don't know until you get it checked out. If you have the $5 or $7 insurance on your line, take it into a repair center and have them check it out for you...if they find something either they will fix it in house or they will send out a replacement.

Good Luck

Coverage in my area is alright at times. and my phone has never been dropped or damaged. Thanks for all the info. I might just wait to see if the weather outside is making it do this.

Re: dropping calls

Wind won't effect a phone call unless it is blowing the tower around. RF energy is in the form on photons and can't be effected by wind. Rain and snow yes, but not wind.

Re: dropping calls

not even 20-50 mph winds?

Re: dropping calls

Have you seen wind blow light before? Like I said the wind can blow the antennas around but not the signal.

Wind can degrade signal because the air is filled with debris, such as; dirt, moisture, pollen, etc.

My TP2 has dropped way too many calls, compared to my previous Mogul. Just looking here for help.

Correct but the signal degradation of dirty wind lets say versus a steady rain would be like a 50 to 1 difference. Most of us in the US don't like in a desert where a wind caused sand storm would be a problem.

Have you recently updated your PRL? You might be able to roll it back and get better coverage.

Re: dropping calls

This probably isn't the same issue, but I constantly dropped calls when I tried to use bluetooth (with data on) in the car. If I disable data - or bluetooth - it solves the problem.
