Automatic landscape when powered?
 

Is there anything that will automatically change the phone to landscape when powered, preferably be able to make it program specific. I will have my phone mounted sideways for IGO8 in my vehicle and would like incoming call notifications and such to be in landscape, without having to have the keyboard open.

I'm sure this could be accomplished with a mort script. If this is only when you are using igo then all you'd need to do is have the script rotate to landscape and then launch igo. You could even have it rotate back to portrait when you close iGo. Is that what you are looking to do?

Or a less complicated option would be a reg edit that enables you to assign a rotate screen call to long press talk key, I'll need to look around for the reg edit, but if you're interested I'll post it here when i find it.

That would certainly work as well. I was just giving him an option for an automated solution as that's what he was asking for.

using gyrator would work good for this I think, just do a search for it and you should find the cab for it.

I really only want it to act this way when it is charging, either in car or on desk. And I would really like to be able to exclude IGO and other programs that have their screen orientation built into the software, because then the TP2 will turn it again to only fill half of the screen. I have keyboard config and could use a button to assign 270* rotation, but was hoping to find something a little more automatic.

The only other solution that I can think of for charging only would be a mort script (yes I'm a big fan of custom scripts) + profile program like g-profile. You could setup a profile for charging and have it run the script when the profile changes. If that's what your looking for I'll see if I can whip up a quick script that you can use in conjunction with the program.
