Data on AT&T with Verizon (2.05.00WU)?
 

I security unlocked and flashed the patched radio, but now I can't use data. I tried changing the connection settings (I added a MEdiaNet connection in My ISP). I only need it to use MMS, but this is getting frustrating; what am I missing?

edit: One more thing: I'm using the AT&T network. I suspended my Verizon account.

That doesn't help; I'm not connecting to Verizon. I'm trying to connect to AT&T. I wasn't sure which forum to post in, but since I own a Verizon Touch Pro 2 (which is CDMA, last time I checked) I assumed this was the right forum.

edit: Oh, and I did search. I found a few posts asking similar questions, but no answers. They were all in the unlocker sticky.

For the APN I used wap.cingular (I found it on AT&T's site for setting up the Tilt). Then I used WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM for the username and CINGULAR1 for the password. It didn't work.

Hi,

I am not exactly sure why you flashed your VZW TP2 radio.
The radio itself is not locked, there is only a SIM lock and Verizon Global Support will gladly give you the code to unlock for free.

Nevertheless, AT&T appears to use a proxy for their internet services on their windows mobile phones. This is possibly why you cannot connect to the internet.
The following article is for the AT&T 8125, but since it's also Windows Mobile, it shouldn't be too different.

Be aware that according to several reports on this forum, the VZW TP2 is not capable of 3G bands that are used in the US. This means that if you do get it working, you will be limited to EDGE, which is relatively slow.

I flashed because I suspended my account, and I've only been with Verizon for 4 months. Verizon only gives the unlock code to customers in good standing that have been with them for at least 6 months. Also, I wanted to use this phone on my extra AT&T line rather than the 6 year old Nokia handset. As for the 3g, I could care less; it's not like there's any 3g coverage around here anyway LOL!

Well I went into my settings and I couldn't find any setting for a proxy server. Any ideas? Oh, and I'm using EnergyROM's Leo with Dusk.

Since you are using a hacked rom things might be really different, especially if the rom you are using is WM6.5.

I just tried it; no luck. I may try asking in NRG's Leo ROM thread; maybe this problem is ROM related.
