HDWall trouble

3 Attachment(s)
In trying to use HDWall to get a new background and I'm running into some issues.

Attached is a screenshot of what's happening, as well as the image and its proper placement behind the programs of the start menu, and the original jpg.

I also read the HDWall walkthrough and followed that step-by-step and still no change.

If you notice, the background does not extend all the way behind the slider but instead stops far above it. The image also does not extend to the far right edge. If you notice screenshot1.jpg there is a black space behind the mail icons in Sense.

Here is the process I'm going through in HDWall on my desktop:

1. Drag image into HDWall
2. Press Auto Crop and Resize
3. Apply
4. Close
5. Choose output directory as my desktop
6. Create cab
7. I mark the checkbox stating, "Include Portrait Wallpaper"
8. Press Convert and wait
9. Press Create Cab
10. Move cab onto storage card, install, then soft reset.

That's exactly step for step and I'm using wallpapers from santod's pack as well.

I've tried this about 20 times with a variety of wallpapers and they all seem to stop way short of the slider and never extend all the way down or to the far right.

I am running MightyROM War if that helps as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: HDWall trouble

Did you change the "configuration settings" to 6.5 with Sense 2.5 No Compression?

Yea, I did change the profile to Sense 2.5, all tabs, no compression. Do you know what the issue is, or what I'm doing wrong?

santod, would you be able to take the original wallpaper and cab it up? Assuming it works, could you tell me the exact process you used. I understand if it's asking a bit much.

At worst, I'll give it a go again in the morning, maybe some sleep will bring me some clarity.

Here you go, give this a try. Merry Christmas, even if it doesn't work! Let me know.

santod, thank you for the cab file.

The same issue is still present only this time the bottom taskbar has part of the image in it.

The wallpaper still doesn't reach the far right edge or beneath the slider.

Would having a transparent slider cab interfere with the wallpaper possibly extending to the bottom?

Thanks again for all your help and Merry Christmas to you too.

Re: HDWall trouble

Possibly that could effect it.

Could you post a screenshot, when you get a chance?

You don't have BG4all installed, do you?

I have No Curtains.cab to remove the slider curtain, if that is the issue.

Not sure what else it would be. Although I seem to recall having some issues with HDwalls on the War rom as well. Can't quite remember what exactly though.

Well I got it fixed.

Someone on xda-dev mentioned to install the HQ Wallpaper patch included with HDWall(s).

I installed the patch, soft reset, and now everything looks great.
