When Upgrading Roms You are?

When you are upgrading your Rom, how are you getting your programs back on your phone? are you using a backup program or are you installing from scratch. Every time I upgrade my Rom I install my programs manually. I use active sync to restore my personal data. I think doing it this way is always a less problematic way of doing it. just curious to see if you are having issues and creating problems using a backup program when you are upgrading your roms.

I think folks do it both ways. I think it's less problematic too, to reinstall. But it gets old if you flash a lot.

There is also SDConfig.txt (Google it). It's basically a script that installs all your CABs from SD Card. Saves a little time. Not all cabs work. CABs that prompt during install will get stuck. Most ROMs support it. It can also do registry customizations and shortcuts.
