Blueooth unable to dial phone while pin locked (stock 6.1 rom)
I normally use the built in 6.1 screen pin lock so that I don't dial out by accident. While the phone is pin locked I am unable to dial out with a blueooth device. I get a Bluetooth message on the phone saying "Please unlock the phone in order to dial a call."
Anyone know a way around this? Is this fixed or working on the 6.5 roms? Since the bluetooth device is already paired, I should have the option to bypass this security feature. Sprint Touch Pro 2 Sock 6.1 ROM |
Re: Blueooth unable to dial phone while pin locked (stock 6.1 rom)
Ok, I am unable to dial out even with S2U2 loaded and locked. I get the same message as with the standard windows pin lock from bluetooth. "Please unlock the phone in order to dial a call." As soon as I unlock with slide I can dial out bluetooth just fine. I must of missed a tweek somewhere that everyone else has already figured out.
Used S2U2's new 2.21 feature "Don't lock system" to bypass the internal lock that that the 6.1 Widcomm bluetooth looks for before letting you dial out with a bluetooth device. Does anyone know if this Widcomm "features" exists on the 6.5 roms? |
Re: Blueooth unable to dial phone while pin locked (stock 6.1 rom)
I have read in a few xda threads about this problem, and I am surprised more people are not have problems with this. There are some reports that the new 6.5 roms are not having this problem.

HKLM\Software\Widcomm\General When you get the unable to dial message it puts a new key in there called DontAskHfpCallFailOnDeviceLock and I figure that the bypass might be in this same area. |
