What's the easiest way to change background color?

What is the easiest way to change the background color to a usual color (black, red, green, etc.)
I used to do that with the Theme app of Spb Mobile Shell, but now that I've decided not to use Spb MS, I'm at a loss how to change the background color.
There is extensive color changing function in SK Tools, but it's way too complicated for what I'd like to do.
Any simple solution?

I'm in no way a pro at this type of thing, but if you simply go into Paint (or your favorite photo editor program) and make a single color image 800x480 you can then save it as your wallpaper.

That's a brilliant idea, but that wouldn't change the color of the taskbar and soft keys backgrounds.. I'd need an app that changes the taskbar and softkey backgrounds as well.

Try this, just select Imagio. https://www.microsoft.com/windowsmob...generator.mspx

Ahh, didn't realize you were still on stock. Sorry.

Have you tried any of the ones already installed? Under Settings > Today?

Settings -> Today only changes the wallpaper (unless I'm missing an important feature in Today that I've been using for nearly 10 years).
That's why I was impressed with the ease with which Spb MS can change the theme color.

SETTINGS > HOME(TODAY) > SELECT THEME for your device

That should bring up a selectable list of color themes. Such as VZW, HTC Black, Vera Wang, I forget the default rom ones included. But you should have a few already, anyway. You are definitely overlooking that setting, it sounds like.
