Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 in UK
 

Hello all,
all very new to these CDMA / GSM dual capability of the new TP2. We will be travelling from the USA to England in january and would like to use a prepaid SIM card to make calls home... In order to do that, can I just call Sprint and have it unlocked?

or should I use http://rhodiumw.htc-unlocks.com/ ?

If it were me, i would use the unlocker through htc-unlocks.com. With that you can not only use international carriers but US based carriers also. The Sprint way will keep th phone locked out of US based carriers.

sprint phones are already unlocked for world use. just buy a prepaid sim card from uk, pop it in, and you're set. you only need the sim unlocker if you're planning on using gsm in the united states.

is that why the Sprint TP2 "unlocked" is about $100 more than the regular phones?
