When the contents in Today Screen overflow, a vertical scroll bar appears at the right margin.

you can't just use your finger and drag the bar? it seems every time there is a scroll bar in winmo you can always use your finger to scroll, don't see why it would be different? however i don't not use the classic today screen, so i can not speak for that exact situation.

you should be using a new UI, haha! come on now its the tp2 not the tp (vzw crippled one). check out the following user interface. its still in alpha, but a new version will come out today, 0.2a. and for an alpha its very usable and light weight:

ps: i know there is a way to change the size of the scroll bar, and possibly remove it, but its universal, meaning you can't tailor it to a single app, like the today screen. i believe you can find the "how to" in the faq or tweaks thread in this forum
