Hotmail/E-mail Issue - Mail won't update
 

My Hotmail email seem to update itself whenever it wants to. I check my e-mail on my laptop and i got e-mails from 2 days ago.. that aren't showing up on my e-mail tab..

Wassup with that?

Maybe a stupid question...but have you tried doing "send/receive" on the menu to manually sync messages on your phone?

Check your sync status to see what it is set to. Check your settings by going to your Windows Live/Hotmail account on your phone>Menu>Tools>Options>Tap Screen on Hotmail (should already be marked by *)>Sync Schedule.

or check to see how many days your folders are set to get messages (this one works for all email accounts you have set up on your phone):
and to set how many days of email your account should sync/download on your phone, go to Menu>Tools>Manage Folders>Tap & Hold on Inbox (or any of the folder you want to set) 'til pop-up menu appear>Folder options. This will enable you to set how much of the messages will be downloaded to you phone and specify how many days back of messages to get on your phone.

hope this helps...oh yeah...i noticed just now that my hotmail account on my phone is somehow unable to sign-in.

I also have not been getting any emails via my Hotmail account on my phone since at least Friday. No problem checking this account from my PC and my Gmail account on my phone is working fine. Looks like Hotmail mobile access is having some issues...annoying.

Edit: Oh and I'm on Sprint (located in Ohio).

Not a stupid quesiton.. i've manually tried to sync and it simply doesn't sync. I have followed your instructions.. and it shows that the last day it synced was on 12/22/2009, and today is 12/23/2009.

Is it a Hotmail issue or a TP2/TMobile issue? I'm thinkin it's the first option

Update - my Hotmail email is now working fine again on my phone. Not sure of the root cause but I definitely did not change any settings on my phone.

Have you found a fix to your problem yet? If my suggestions still didn't work for you, my other suggestion would be to delete your Hotmail account and add it again...see if that fixes it.

i actually just came online to post new thread about this.
my phone does fine. than ever like night or so IT JUST DOESNT SYNC! i have it set to do every 15min. im on hotmail. and it does that than i realize there hasnt been email so i manualy check it and it says: "SYNC FAILED"
and the only way to fix is a phone reset. than it will be fine for a while but will happen again! i also doesnt get notification when i get email. it just blinks! no sound. checked settings. its only email!

whats going on? i need a fix for this pleasee! email is very important to me.
im on might latest if that helps on sprint.
