SMS error code 2114 from 9230
 

I am asking this since on my tp2 im getting a txt from 9230 saying "message sent using invalid number of digits. Please resend using 10 digits numbers or valid short code msg 2114"

I know the number is valid 729725 it is paypal mobile txt, it work a few days ago now i get this. global dialing is off and its on cdma only.

help plz!!

I never used this service before but seeing how it's Paypal have you considered calling them? Maybe the texting service is setup correctly on your end but the person you are trying to deliver money to isn't set up right in their system or something broke on their end.

Have you tried to just do simple commands like bal or balance? Does that resolve? If you can do certain things but when you try to pay someone that particular feature fails, then the problem might not be at your end.

Me too! Just the last week or two I have not been able to text my favorite radio station. Their number is 48307 and now I get that failed delivery text about using a 10 digit number (and it used to work fine). I thought it had something to do with the ROM I was using or some of the mms fixes I tried. I am currently using latest Impact ROM on sprint but it was also a problem on Juicy r7. Anybody know what phone settings we have to change to be able to text to these special numbers?

This problem has something to do with HTC and Sprint connection not the receiver of your texts. I have been having the same problem since the beginning of the year. I have the HTC Touch Diamond and a week or so after new years I started to get messages with the date wrong, it said it was from 2016 not 2010. This problem made my text messages get all messed up in the wrong order and without times. About a couple of weeks ago I started to get the 2114 message and it has been driving me crazy! I not only get that message while trying to text people whose numbers are correct and exactly 10 digits long, but I have also not been receiving calls nor texts throught out the day, only a few times a day I start to get a bunch of texts and voicemails from earlier!

I tried to fix these problems by doing a hard reset, start from scratch, installed the newest rom version available and the date fix available from the HTC website. Well, doing this corrected the date problem but not the 2114 msg error. I am so upset! My husband has the HTC 2 Pro and has had no problems with the 2114 msg except for the text message error which he can not fix because his phone is in sync with a school isd system and they haven't fixed the error either. Apparently some people are also having problems with their phones freaking out and are in roaming from some random place. I will be going to Sprint tomorrow to see if this can be finally get fixed or I will fix THEM! Or I may just have to get a new phone.
