Just testing the waters here.

I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2, that has been SIM, Security, and SPL unlocked.

I was wondering if it was even remotely possible to use the phone in this way:

I have Sprint service for personal use (SERO with data plan). My company provides me with ATT, but it has no data. Would it be possible, since the TP2 can do GSM after its unlocked, to have the phone use the GSM radio for voice calls, and then use the CDMA sprint radio for data usage?

That way I have the best of both worlds, unlimited voice plans and texting from my company, and unlimited data from sprint.

i would say no becasue the voice calls route thru the ESN not the sim part unless roaming internationally

this is not possible yet but im sure we will find a way to allow both radios (cdma and gsm) to be on !!! i would start trying but i dont even know where to start!!

Well, it is possible to use the SIM slot with a US SIM on a US GSM carrier after you unlock and flash the proper radio.

I am able to switch my phone over to ATT's GSM network and make and receive calls without any probs. So I know this phone works on US GSM bands with an ATT sim card after unlocking and flashing, but the data tries to initiate through the ATT service as well.

With the unlock and the right radio, you COULD switch modes to get to data on Sprint and Voice/Text on ATT. It would be a pain in the as$ but should be do-able.

NICE! I was hoping it would be possible, do you happen to have a few links that I might could read up on to learn some things to try? I dont care one bit to be a test dummy :)
