Update for HTC Touch Pro2 Handwriting

Found this browsing around tonight. Installed, messed with phone a bit, not sure what it works with. Just thought I'd share if anyone else wanted to try it, please post results as I would like to know how this works, and with what programs (guessing it supposed to work with all, just need to figure out how to use it).

Update for HTC Touch Pro2 Handwriting
This update for HTC Touch Pro2 lets you write the way you want to. Now in addition to the full QWERTY keypad, simulating a full physical keyboard experience, HTC Touch Pro2 now offers handwriting recognition to give you more flexibility in your messaging to send messages to your loved ones.

Wirelessly posted (htc TP2: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

It's sad that handwriting is out of flavor. Most of the younger generation print letter insted of writing them. Many people only hand write their signatures.

Well, I installed the handwriting cab and for some reason I couldn't find it in the SIP selection.......

Anyone have a suggestion??

:error:
Hmmm.... found the following post from WarlockW over at XDA - he tells how to find transcriber (handwriting) when it doesn't show up in the SIP selection - you gotta' love searching! Also, I included a transcriber cab from lomax91 from over XDA as well.....

Ok .. I am a dumbass ... I Finally figured it out ..

I installed Transcriber ..

click-> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

And true 6.5 roms do not give you the option of choosing transcriber from the optons menu ..

However if you find transcriber.exe in the windows dir .. you can run it and it does work !

So I made a link and added it to the startup dir in windows and it works just fine now

Just a warning .. if you change to the full or compact qwerty it closes transcriber and you will have to restart it to make it work again :/

However if you open the keyboard it will switch to the keyboard layout
and back to transcriber .. without restarting transcriber

Give it try .. Worked For me !
""
I'll post if it doesn't work - I'm crossing My fingers!

Alright, got it to work - not great, but it works.............
