why do foreign accent marks in texts make the whole text disapear?
Does anyone know why when I write something in a text with foreign accent marks and send it in a text to someone, some people never get the text, some people get a blank text and some people will get the whole thing with the accent marks included? Does anyone know if this is an easy fix or does it depend on the phone that that person has? My two friends wont get it, one with a lg env touch, the other a blackberry, and the one that gets it is a Razor. WTF. It kinda sucks. Any info would be appreciated. Oh and I'm with Verizon, the two that didnt work were verizon to verizon, verizon to tmobile, and the one that did work verizon to verizon on the razor. Thanks

Re: why do foreign accent marks in texts make the whole text disapear?
It depends on the phone and the carrier. When those extra characters are added, it adds different hidden codes then what you see, or it tries to convert it to another format.. I am not really sure. I just know it adds some coding to it, that isn't normal for the language we speak, foreign languages have a different coding format, thus adding characters that are hidden from our view. (It's the way sms works here.) There is more to it, but I'm not that knowledgeable on this subject. Anything else, I'd say hit a wiki on sms. You're bound to find something there.
