I am new to custom roms but some I have used I can use the stylus to select more than one email/msg to del, select items in messages, etc when those functions with the stylus are missing can it be added or it's something that is cooked in the rom?

To select more than one message use the "Select Messages" option in the menu. To select text within a message, it may depend upon the ROM, but try tap and hold and see if you get a "Make Selection" option in pop-up menu that appears. There was also a trick to select text in a message but it does not work in the ROM I'm using now -perhaps it will for yours. Tap and hold -and you have to time this right -but just before the menu appears drag across the text. If the menu appears you've waited too long. Don't spend too much time on that one, as I said, it may no longer function in the ROM you're using.
