reSTART swapping icons for custom??

I have been playing around with Showaco reSTART trying to change the home screen program shortcut icons in my Juicy R3 setup (manila 2.5)

I can change the icon for any item in the start menu easy enough, but it continues to show the original icon in the home screen shortcut. To give an example, one of my home screen items is for the camera. I changed the camera icon to a custom icon using reSTART. Now, the home screen shortcut looks exactly the same but the camera icon in the start menu shows the new icon.

I must be missing something simple, does anybody know what it is??

I use reStart as well & in order for me to change the icons in the Program Launcher of Manila 2.1 I had to go digging through the registry & redirecting the icon path to my new icon. This may help u for Manila 2.5

Re: reSTART swapping icons for custom??

reStart only changes the icon path @ HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start. If You want to change the icon for the shortcut you need the lnk file.

ex.
This is a shortcut for an app to toggle bluetooth that I cabbed up-

40#"\Program Files\ToggleBT\togglebth.exe"?\windows\shellres.19 2.dll,-13909

The '?\windows\shellres.192.dll,-13909' part is what points to the icon. Icons have to be in a dll file. If you want custom icons you can take any dll file, edit it with ResHacker (freeware-search xda), rename it something like my.dll, and point lnk files to it.

Do a search on XDA for a program ccalled JWMD Icon Changer -- very easy and changes all the icons easily. Sorry, but I'm traveling and don't have a link available now.
