Sprint TP2 + Sero = loss of Unlimited Text?
I saw this on the Sprintusers site and was wondering if any of you guys with a TP2 on Sero plans longer then a month have noticed that you lost your unlimited text option...
or am I just being paranoid? I am looking to get one soon and will probably go with ebay or craigslist to avoid a contract. |
Re: Sprint TP2 + Sero = loss of Unlimited Text?
I've had SERO for quite some time with unlimited text and I've had my TP2 since October with no issues. I do somewhere between 1-2000 txts a month so I'd notice very quickly if my unlimited text dissapeared.

Re: Sprint TP2 + Sero = loss of Unlimited Text?
Same here. I've been on sero for about 3 years, had the TP2 for about 3 months. The sprint website shows exactly the same account options as before at the same price.

Same here, no change in unlimited sms w/sero and tp2 |
Re: Sprint TP2 + Sero = loss of Unlimited Text?
No changes for me and I've had my TP2 since it was released. Been on SERO for about 2.5 years.

Re: Sprint TP2 + Sero = loss of Unlimited Text?
Good to hear.
This was the thread that I was referring to. Seems a guy lost his unlimited txt after moving from a Treo to the TP2... http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=197796 |
Re: Sprint TP2 + Sero = loss of Unlimited Text?
I have TP2 on SERO for more than a month with unlimited texts and I haven't lost my unlimited texts. Unlimited texts does not show up in my plan details but if I go to usage details I can see unlimited texts

Re: Sprint TP2 + Sero = loss of Unlimited Text?
I think the issue is whether your sero plan originally come with unlimited text or it was a add-on. If you have unlimited text as part of your sero plan then you should be okay. However, if unlimited text was an add on (i.e. retentions added it to your account) to your sero account then you might have a problem.
Personally I switched from a palm centro to a tp2 in October and my account stayed identical and I did not lose unlimited text; however, I had unlimited text as part of my sero when I first got my sero. |

Re: Sprint TP2 + Sero = loss of Unlimited Text?
I've had SERO on two accounts for a few years and it has never shown unlimited text but I've never been charged for it. He probably has the unlimited text and because it does not show he (and CS) is assuming it must be added. I think I had called about it when I first set it up and they said it was some how built into the plan.
I think it depends on how it was added and which system as to whether it shows up. EDIT: I forgot as noted in a replay above it does show up under usage details. I'll bet he still has it. |
