TP2 Will not run Cab files

I just got my TP2 days ago, and coming from my Centro its great, except for one problem (other then it dialing in my pocket Constantly); I cannot installl anything. I managed to install CorePlayer, WMWifiRouter, and MyMobiler with no problems by putting the .cab files on the root of my memory card and running them but now none of the apps I try to install will run. I get no error message, pop up or Anything; I just click on it and it does nothing.

If I try to install via active sync it says "Application Download Complete: Please check your mobile device screen to see if additional steps are necessary to complete this installation" and yet nothing appears on my phone, no applications are installed, and when I go back to that page (active sync install page) the same apps that it "installed/downloaded" before are still unchecked and I can repeat the [ineffective] step over again.

I'm really hoping, at the risk of making myself look like an idiot, that its a simple fix because its quite frustrating.

In case it matters:
-I'm using the Touch Pro 2 with its stock Verizon ROM

-Apps that installed correctly:
-CorePlayer
-MyMobiler
-WMWifiRouter

-Apps that wont open/run
-Skyfire (downloaded both via phone and pc, on device and memory card)
-Gremote (wvga, correct?)
-S2U2
-DivXPlayer
-sdkcerts (read somewhere on these forums that it might help)

Any input would be very much appreciated, and I apologize if there is some ridiculously simple fix, as I said I came from a Palm Centro and this is my first Windows Mobile device.

I'd check the versions of the programs. I have all of those programs and they run perfecly on my TP2 and I'm running a cusom Rom as well.

I tried the hard reset, and although I didn't do it correctly and all my settings and current programs remained the same, but I guess I did a soft reset (I HAD tried that before) and it worked. Once I restarted the apps I tried to install with active sync automatically ran. Thanks for the assistance!
