So today I discovered that my period key no linger works. It's not a hardware issue cause I can remap it with keyboard config, but it no longer types periods on its own. I've tried everything short of hard resetting, which I really don't wanna do cause I've finally reached the perfect balance for battery life. Has this happened to anyone else & how did you resolve it?

So the usual question would be did you install anything at all prior to it stopping working?

If not, then short of a hard reset you could always stay with the keyboard controller and simply map it to a period ;) Is that the Rhodium Keyboard Controller you're using? If so, what happens if you map to the multiple actions option, then on the click action, map it to the "Default key action"?

My suggestion would be to download spb backup (you can backup 10 times for free) and backup your phone. Then hard reset and see if it's fixed. If not, you can just restore your backup and continue trying. Quick and easy way to see if a hard reset is necessary without the pain if it's not.

i think a hard reset should fix it, if you say that it's a software problem.

when i had a custom font installed it would not show the period when in text messages but once they were sent they would be there. did you install a custom font?
