I have a SPRINT touch pro2 and have noticed that my phone switches to 1X more then my old Tero 800W. Is this normal or is there a fix for this??? Im on the stock ROM but using the TP2 cleanup cabs

that depends on the signal strenght in your area amung other things such as radio version installed, when you send SMS, ... have you done a prl update yet.

Well when I had my Sprint TREO 800W I never had this issue. I have my Sprint TP2 and another one here (someone else I work with at also has a sprint TP2) and both go into 1x a lot more then I Think they should... We both have the stock radio version that comes with them....

I experience the same thing with my phone sometimes; it's not always related to signal strength since I often see 1x with full bars.

Make sure you update your PRL and Profile periodically, it helps with getting EVDO signal.
