Will Flashing Verizon TP2 allow access to Sprint
I am a sprint customer and looking to get the tp2 at verizon prices. wifey wants to go to verizon since her family is all on verizon (free voice). was thinking i could sign her up with the tp2 deal and flash the phone to use on sprints network.
i can't see why this wouldn't work since flashing the phone completely rebuilds the rom and can simply add sprint's rom information to the phone right?? the only problem i can see is the id number associated with the phone. |
Re: Will Flashing Verizon TP2 allow access to Sprint
Just get an Everything data on Sprint, unlimited calling to ANY cell phone in the country....
But to answer you, you can do it. But its not as easy as you think. Im not 100% on the process, but it can be done |
Re: Will Flashing Verizon TP2 allow access to Sprint
well i don't want to get rid of my sero plan. why is the process not as easy as one would think? seems that if i add the proper cab files and flash to a sprint workable firmware, it should work. right?

Re: Will Flashing Verizon TP2 allow access to Sprint
you would have to get the esn added into the sprint database, you can make all the handset settings you want but if the network doesnt reconize you...no access

Re: Will Flashing Verizon TP2 allow access to Sprint
Sprint will not allow an ESN that is not in their database. No way around it, besides getting someone to change the ESN but that's highly illegal. Simply, there's no way to do it. Why Verizon TP2 on Sprint anyway?

i was going to sign my wife up with verizon under their $200 tp2 deal and then use the phone on sprint's network. i would get wifey a cheap replacement phone since she does do anything more than voice. it was a cheap alternative to spending a whole lot of money with sprint's deal. |

And don't forget with that 30 day deal. If you go past 30 days there IS AN ETF you will have to pay, but only if you go past 30 days. Or keep the extra line with plan on your account that you will be paying for monthly. Best bet is call and see what sprint can do for you, you may get lucky.
