Uploading from a browser
 

Hey PPCG fam,

im having an issue using sites like tinypic to upload an image. When I to a site and click browse so that I can select the file to upload, I cant get to my /storage card/my documents/my pictures folder.

Is there a cab or regedit to get the file browser to be able to go to all subfolders.

Works for me. Try adding an empty file called ignore_my_docs in the root of my SD card. Adding that file will allow programs to search the entire card, and not just the My Documents folder. This was also the old work around when you did not have a "My Documents" folder on your SD Card. It would allow apps to search the card and display other folders / files.

thanks for the suggestion, that didnt work tho. Problem is, its not seeing anything thats in the subfolders of the my documents thats on my storage card. It does however see the files inside of /storage/my documents


visible = storage card/my documents

not visible = storage card/ my documents/my pictures

work around would be put the file ya want in the folder it does see and upload.........

yea i know... just thought it was strange.

Can anybody else go to tinypic.com and hit browse and see if it can see /storage card/my document/my pictures files....

No, it didnt let me either using opera 5 mini beta 2. went to storage card, documents then there was no my pics folder but this poi folder or something........

I was able to drill down on Tinypic.com into Storage Card/My Documents/My Pictures. I could even drill down three more levels to my lowest level folder in one directory. Strange but true sorry! I'm using Opera 9.7 build 35541...came with Juicy R5.

could it possibly be the rom... im on MM's rom... hmm, maybe i will flash to a new rom and try it out..
