Ok... what the heyull...
 

Ok this is strange... but I was listening to music through my 3.5 mm jack. I took the headphones out and now my vibrate wont work. Wont vibrate period.. screen taps, texts or calls. It just makes this weird clicking noise. I hard reset... same problem...

WTH is the 3.5mm jack near the motor? I'm too lazy to look at a teardown.

PPC6800 use to have a similar problem I think thats why HTC went away from 3.5 jacks. If I can remember correctly it was a simple fix by just reinserting the headphones and taking it out again. Something inside gets stuck and doing that once or a couple times seemed to solve it.

but the 6800 didn't have a 3.5mm jack.

i've been hearing there's something with the 3.5 jack. do as stated above, insert and remove a couple times, that should fix it.
