Video playback issues on custom roms

I'm using nrgz custom rom 6.5 21877 dec. 4th. My video player works fine using htc album when playing movies converted using dvd fab. However when i try to play movies(mp4) using total video converter all i get is sound... no picture. i know these movies used to work using the sprint stock rom, but when i flashed, these particular movies won't show video...only sound. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Use Coreplayer and keep them in their original format. That's my suggestion.

Thanks for the response. How do I encode my videos here? Is it click and drag? Sorry I am a noob. I already zipped the file to my desktop, I'm just stuck from here.
Thanks in advance.

unzip the whole folder onto ur desktop then open the program then click add and find the movie file u want to convert....then select what the video is if its HD or SD then select ur resolution which is WVGA and click start....it takes about an hour to convert but well worth it over coreplayer....there is no lag and no issues at all
