That's the problem, you never see them coming. They are like the Glimmer Man...

"Suffice to say, to the people he hunted for us, he was known as the Glimmer Man. There'd be nothing but jungle, then a glimmer... Then you'd be dead!"

So why is it that Mighty Mike can pump out a version of 6.5 that works like a charm on my VZW TP2, almost overnight.

Yet Verizon/HTC is still dragging their feet.

Maybe they should hire themselves a new rom chef.

Bottom line might be that everyone who really, really wants 6.5 on their TP2 ALREADY HAS IT! And the customers who don't would just be a pain in VZW/HTC collective backside as they manage to brick their phones or make clogging lines at VZW's "genius desk" at their stores.

Last time my dumbphone charger broke, I went to the local VZW store. Stood in line 15 minutes, then the salesman sent me to their repair desk. Stood in line 15 minutes, the repair desk guy said "We don't handle things like that, please use this phone to call the 1-800 support line". I was somewhat ticked off.

Very true, but it was originally October/November before December rolled around...are they stalling for WinMo 7???

Stalling for WinMo 7? Let's hope not. I will have retired by then and won't have the money for the new phone...

And 6.5 was released in October. Look at the Imagio, Intrepid, TiltII

MS never said "your phone can upgrade come october"

The reason its delayed is so Verizon and Sprint can test it, iron everything out, and add all their junk(TV, Navi, etc)

Looking like HTC is in no rush to try and capture any holiday spending. It'll be ready when it is ready. I can dig that.

Good point about those of us who actually care. They're hoping we all do the custom rom and in so doing void our warranties and guarantee that we won't be bothering them with phone calls any time soon. In the meantime, custom ROM users get to be the best beta testers out there, Verizon's chefs then "borrow" what works and get paid for all the hard work of the folks who really made it work. :angry7:
