sprint sim unlock wont even run!?!?
 

so just payed for the program through htc unlocks got the email with link downloaded file,extracted it, right away says "The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135). click on ok to terminate the application... tried on vista and xp ran as administrator tried it all anyone experienced this

That program is meant to run on your phone, not your desktop.

not true. the program starts in windows and finishes in windows mobile


but a quick google search tells me that you need to install MS .net framework:

thanks for replies but ive tried on phone from computer,have .net framework updated on comp and phone,even tried reinstalling it on computer still no go.....i think the .exe is f ed up sent a email to htc unlock support c how that will go

did you run the HSPL unlocker first? I believe you need to do that before the us networks sim unlocker.....

yes i ran HSPL day it was out...im pretty sure that it is a problem with the unlocker.exe

have you tried it on a different computer? i ran it from vista (with .net framework installed) and 7 (.net comes preinstalled) with no issues. i'd imagine it should run on xp with the .net framework installed

OP I am not sure if you are aware of this... But Sprint's TP2 does NOT have a subsidy (network) lock EXCEPT it's patched that it will not let you to go on any US-based GSM networks.

In order to let Sprint's TP2 GSM gets on an US-based GSM network, you need to do the SECURITY UNLOCK first, then flash a patched radio. HSPL is for flashing a different ROM, not radios, especially GSM part of the radio.

As for your HTC unlocker... I think you spend the money at the wrong place. See if you can get a refund on it and use it on the proper unlock procedure linked above.

yes i have been unlocked for roms since day 1 it came out, and i have tried it on a totalof 3 computers now even reinstalling and updating .net framework on one, still nothing. I know i have to security unlock first to flash the patched radio, thats why i paid for it lol, cmonex shot me a support message yesterday sayen about .net and now waiten for a nother responce from her

have you tried to redownload the .exe from your email? as long as it hasn't been run, you should be able to download it again

yes ive tried it 4 times actually ha....from what i think i understand,each unlocker is pretty much specific to your phone am i right...since they need imei for this but not for hspl....so basically what im thinken is when they rewrote this for my phone maybe they just messed up somewhere.....or am i way off ](*,)

i think they just record specific information about you on their servers. i don't think that it's rewritten every time someone makes a request. i could be wrong, though...

in the past, i've run into issues where a newer version of .net framework won't run something. have you tried to install .net framework 2.0 or .net framework 1.1?

he needs to run the exe from his pc. the program won't even start, so a hard reset on his phone will make no difference

if my suggestion above doesn't work, the only other thing i can think of is a possible virus.
have you tried to download it from a pc that's not on your network?
years ago, i experienced a virus that would write one bit of code to the beginning of every .exe that it could. this would cause errors in programs made by visual basic and self-extracting zip files. maybe this is what you're seeing...

This might be a little late, but I do remember Cmonex saying to turn off your antivirus, because it can give a false positive. And I know with ESET at least it will grab the file as you are downloading it and "clean" it. But it doesn't truly clean it, basically it puts the whole file in the quarantine and you won't be able to use it properly. Just a guess.......

well...ive tried everything that i can think of and everything everyone esle can think of, seems weird that no one has encountered this. I am almost positive that it is not something on my end that i am doing wronghopefully cmonex will get back to me quickly and figure this out. by the way thanks for all the help so far :)
