HTC TP2 unlocking

I have a few questions on unlocking and flashing a new os ( not sure if os is the right word). Anyone know a good guide for flashing and installing a new os for a CDMA TP2 from us cellular. Will unlocking break my warrenty?
If something happens to my TP2 while a custom os is on it will us cellular still
honor my isurance coverage or is it voided?
can u re lock ur phone? by unlocking am I lossing any funtions on my phone?

1 - Follow the guide/sticky in the CDMA Upgrades subforum (it's not the clearest of instructions, but read as you do and it'll make sense)
2 - USCC won't service your phone while it's unlocked & running a custom ROM (if their policies are the same as Sprint & Verizon)
3 - If something happens and you're unable to relock your phone, then maybe your insurance covers smashed equipment? lol
4 - Yes, you can flash the stock ROM back on the phone and relock it.
5 - You do not lose any hardware functions by unlocking your phone but, depending on the ROM you install, not all the programs you're currently use to may be in the custom ROM.

Re: HTC TP2 unlocking

1) Make sure you TP2 is at least 50% battery
2) Unlock your device
3) Download and unzip(if zipped) ROM of your liking(make sure you unlocked you device prior - very crucial)
4) Connect TP2 to PC with (extended or regular)mini-usb to USB cord
5) Make sure it says "connected"(does not have to by synced just connected) in either ActiveSync(WinXP or prior) or WMDC (Vista/7)
6) Double click on ROMUpdateUtility.exe(could be called something else but its exe file in folder of your new ROM on pc)
7) Click next about gazillion times, and wait about 2 mins(it says 10 but its much faster)- DO NOT DISCONNECT TP2 FROM PC DURING UPDATE!!!
8) After PC screen says done(not before that!!!) you can disconect TP2 and follow set up instructions after it resets

Re: HTC TP2 unlocking

ROM = OS(PDA part) - what you see
Radio = phone part(responsible for signal) - what you hear:)

Re: HTC TP2 unlocking

I keep getting a site that requires an IMEI, all I have is a serial number and an MEID in HEX and DEC. How can you unlock the phone when the only site that does it uses an IMEI? Any direction will be GREATLY appreciated!
