gwes.exe errors
 

anyone else get this error? I get it ocassionally and then my device wont wake up. and sprint wont replace it unless gthey can duplicate it and they want me to not use my device and bring it in with the error on it. so in otherwords i am not suppose to use my phone.

I guess I need to go above the stores and get this resolved. my unit is stock rom.

I get it randomly too.. but the phone continue to works just fine for me..

Looks like it is a running issue WinMo has had since 2003. If you turn off error reporting you won't get the notification anymore. Maybe the official 6.5 will fix?

It is my experience that when I ran into this issue on my TP1, I tracked it down to Global Navigator. Known as Google Navigator(incorrectly) on some sites. If you have this program installed, remove it and see if this issue persists. If you do not have it installed, then I don't know.

Hope this helps. What other GPS Nav. software do you have installed and what rom are you running?

have hard reset it a few times. just wish I knew how to get it to show up so I can get it replaced

just install a registry editor, break windows (or your keyboard) via registry, uninstall registry editor, soft reset and walk into store, as long as they dont hard reset it they wont be able to fix it and have to replace it for u

Just got the phone last Tuesday. Haven't played around with it much but with nothing installed i've gotten the gwes.exe error several times. Yesterday I decided to install Pocket Mechanic Professional and when I use the Free Ram it crashes everytime it hits the gwes.exe file. Other then that I love this phone.

And a hard reset is the first thing any Sprint store will do unless you find a total idiot.

There is nothing wrong with OP phone. It's a software issue.
