Sprint Official WM6.5 Release Date
 

Does anyone have a reliable rumor when Sprint will release an official version of WM6.5 for the Touch Pro 2? I do want to have WM6.5, but business reasons force me to only use Sprint supplied firmware. I had heard that December or January was the ETA. Is that still a good guess? No one had a year attached to the month. Is January 2010 still a reasonable ETA?? Thanks.

Yea Jan. is probably right. although it could come faster seeing that us cellular already has their 6.5 rom. I just check a couple times a day here: http://www.htc.com/us/support/touch-...int/downloads/

I'm using the stock rom but arent most of us already using 6.5 in cooked roms?

I am sure many members of this forum are using cooked ROMs. I am unable to use a cooked ROM for business reasons. I am looking forward to Sprint/HTC releasing an official WM6.5 ROM. I was hoping that some members of this forum had some inside information when Sprint will release an official ROM upgrade to WM6.5. The Microsoft Web site say's the Touch Pro 2 should be upgraded to 6.5 in December 2009 or January 2010. Microsoft is often very optimistic.

this just in...the official 6.5 upgrade for sprint will be released on the 5th of never...that is all...i now return you to your regularly scheduled ppcgeeking.

does this even exist? if one doesn't hear what one wants, it becomes a flame war. the safeset bet is it will be released when it is released lol. i'm waiting, also!

eh I was using a cooked but thier to unstable back to 6.1 for me :(

Same here. I prefer stability and all the stock Sprint rom update features that the cooked roms don't have... such as Sprint's firmware update, prl update, windows update, etc. As well as the other Sprint specific programs. I noticed that the nfl app that is availabe as a cab and cooked into a few roms is NOT the same as the version in the stock Sprint rom, which is better. For these reasons I will wait for a Sprint official 6.5 rom update.
Unless somebody cooks a nice 6.5 rom with ALL of Sprint's stock rom features... Any takers???!!!

2020 is the current release date for sprint.
