Help with Sprint TP2 on Rogers, no data

I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2 with a T-Mobile SIM card inserted. I'm in Canada and can roam on Rogers with no problem. Voice works great, but I cannot connect to data at all, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, etc. I know T-Mobile can data roam on Rogers because I also have a T-Mobile Blackberry Curve 8900 which has data working just fine here. Does anyone know how I can get this working, if a network connection needs to me manually configured? I searched other threads about the TP2 on Rogers but didn't see anything about using an American GSM SIM and data roaming, so I hope this isn't a repeat. Thanks!

Sorry I can't help you with the T-Mobile SIM, but one thing I can tell you: you won't get UMTS. You will only get GPRS/EDGE. TP2 doesn't support 1900MHz UMTS. I found out the hard way in the past two weeks while I have been in Canada.

I'd be fine with EDGE. I usually have the E in the taskbar, but any time I try to access data I get an error.

Here is a post over at xda that tells how to do it.

Thanks for that, but I still can't get it working. I added the Rogers Internet and Rogers WAP connections but still can't get to anything. I noticed that thread is a couple years old so maybe the settings have changed, or maybe the config is different for WM 6.5. Hmmm...

Re: Help with Sprint TP2 on Rogers, no data

Nevermind, I figured it out. I was going about it all wrong. Since I'm using a T-Mobile SIM card which is roaming on Rogers and not a Rogers SIM, I should have been entering T-Mobile's data settings instead of Rogers. I tried that and connected right away. Thanks anyway.
