I'm stuck on this nasty volume control window on the EnergyROM 28008 (rom itself is awesome). Anyone know how I can get the nice HTC volume control window back? I hate this volume control window!!

All builds of windows mobile 6.5.1 or newer (6.5.3) will not have the HTC Volume, because it's not compatible with the newer windows mobile. In other words if your start button is at the bottom of your screen you will not be able to get HTC Volume. If you want the HTC Volume you need to use a build of winmo6.5 or lower (winmo6.1).

An alternate solution is to use Setvolume (cab attached).
(I got it from xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395695)

Thanks for the app, but it didn't seem to work on 6.5.3. It still shows the default volume control (even after a soft reset). That control looks cool though!

If you're talking about setvolume you have to run the app, then set it to turn on with the phone. There should be a shortcut for it in your start menu. That should get it to show up.

One thing I miss is the built-in volume control in Youtube. Now it's separate (in the ugly volume, and this new one). Oh well.

Lol, yea that was a big project to rebuild the fireplace mantle and run a million wires in the wall, but it turned out awesome and super clean! I even put some RGB LED strips behind the tv to add some effect.
