RUU and vista .. Mogul style
 

For those of us who have vista and still want to upgrade our ROM like everyone else there are a few steps you have to follow..

1. you have to have Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 or better
2. Install the old sync drivers as listed here http://www.modaco.com/RUU-Vista-done-u-t252977.html
**Some Have reported this as not necessary.**
3. Create a folder called "tempttn" (without quotes) on your c: drive. (C:\tempttn)
4. Run Olipro's Hard-SPL http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9093
** Make sure you remove the usb cord when prompted**
5. Install your favorite custom ROM
6. Hard reset

it worked fine for me a while ago without doing anything special? although the program to get it out of the bootloader screen does not function properly...

You do NOT need the old sync drivers for the Mogul RUU. You DO however need them to run mTTY or UNI_exitbl.

The uni_exitbootloader tool will definitely not work on the titan, but the titan_exitbl is the one needed for the mogul.

Ok.. thats what I meant lol. Same concept though. Still need the older drivers for it to function. :p

Step 6: Hard Reset

If you forget this step, you might run into odd problems down the road with the flashed ROM.

step 6 is essential in installing this new ROM or else you will be stuck on the loading screen.
