maybe its just you because ever since switching to a macbook and missing sync, my mogul and macbook work seamlessly together. i believe the m4a issue is a problem with iTunes. my friend tried to copy some music from his iTunes to my flash drive and it came up as m4a files. i believe that is the format when you download music from iTunes.

i personally download my mp3s elsewhere so they stay as mp3 files and have no problems dragging and dropping to my mogul.

the bluetooth PAN works without a hitch and is SO much easier then on a windows pc.

might want to look into an app called "Salling Clicker". it basically lets you use your mogul as a sweet ass remote via bluetooth.

Mac > Windows = necessity of life. 100 million people using Microsoft products, so when you bring the ball, you get to choose the team.

Windows > Mac = a few hundred people being pissed off. Let's face it, Microsoft isn't going to go out of its way to make products that allow it convert all its stuff or sync its stuff to a Mac. Its got bigger fish to fry and more money/resources better used for the majority markets.

Apple realized this and TA-DA...they invent a mobile device that seemlessly integrates with their OS of choice.

The moral of the story is 2 pronged. One, if you want your Mac to sync with a device, it better have an Apple logo stamped on it somewhere.

Second, the consumer market is sometime tricked into buying Apple products because EVERYTHING from Microsoft is inferior and that you can do so much mor with Mac/Apple products.

But in reality, you are buying HANDICAPPED products and that can only use its features with Apple branded interfaces and resources. Look no further than the iPod. Why can it only play mp4's? It can play wma files but Apple saw fit to disable it at the factory! Not to mention there are dozens of other media players that are equal if not better, but at half the price.

Its all a big marketing game and we are the players. And if you aren't educated and making unbiased judgement on ALL products, then you aren't a player anymore. you are just a fool buying name brands.

In closing, I just have to say that I can't believe you are SURPRISED your Windows based device has trouble syncing with a Mac. I'm not trying to be disrespectful. I just thought that would be so glaringly obvious from the start...to anyone.

Windows + Mac = it ain't going to work without a lot of problems. That should be elementary to any user of technology and its been the same way since Jobs and Gates openly declared war back in the early 80's when Jobs accused Gates of "stealing" the GUI interface from him.

actually, anyone who uses a mac should know that mac can read almost anything that windows can. they just have to wait a little bit for the appropriate software to be released. Im using Missing Sync 4.0 and it works fine for me.

Missing Sync has a lot of features, most of which are bug-ridden. However, I use it daily, and the main sync functionality along with drag-n-drop cab installs and easy mounting of the Mogul as a drive works pretty well. I also use VMWare Fusion for my Windows stuff, and Active Sync works great. When I need to install an .exe, I just fire up VM and it's that easy. In reality, there is absolutely zero hassle at all with using an Intel-based Mac and a Windows Mobile device these days.
