WiFi Issues
 

Ok, I've seen a few threads already but so far no answers. I have an HTC 6800 that is not currently using a data plan/cell phone service. I got it solely for the wifi capability. Unfortunately, the wifi comes and goes as it pleases. I was wondering if anyone might know a solid way to get the wifi working properly. I am almost completely in the dark when it comes to smartphones, but I know my way around a computer. Any help would be appreciated.

ok so apparently the wifi is just dead. but it's a moot point now because i broke down and got the data plan.

Did you ever try to flash a different rom to get it working. I doubt it is truely dead.

i wound up flashing to DCD 3.26 rom with radio 3.42.50. everything works including GPS, just no wifi. oh and im using the 2.47 bootloader if that makes a difference.

The wifi is a seperate part of the unit and can die. So that is possible. Hate to hear that but glad you got you some data

yaeh i saw a post about how a solder is possibly too close to the wifi antenna, so i'm hoping my electronically inclined buddy can take this phone apart and check that for me. otherwise, i am really liking the device with just the data plan. now i just need to cook a sweet ROM for myself. :)

I have the same problem although I suspect it is my rom which is 3.08.666.1 or prl (04013) or pri (1.27_005). Anyone know where to download the latest ones from?

my wifi doesn't work unless I have a custom rom on there. The stock rom just seems to kill it.

i'm pretty sure my wifi has been dead for months. always had an unlimited data plan and no laptop to share it with via wifi router. and i just got a tp2. BUT now i want to use my mogul as my gps device for my truck. and a wifi connection would be great for updating the gps satellite service. long story short, keep this post alive. i will see what radio i have. (i'm pretty sure the rom won't make a difference, but the radio will). RADIO VERSION: 3.42.02 any ideas guys? (and it is the latest rom by matt).
