NEWB please HELP!
 

So I got a ppc 6800 from a friend, who has the GPS enabled and has been flashed from ppcgeeks.. I don't really know all that has been done..

my carrier is US cellular and when I try to activate the phone they try to give me a number "##000000 talk" to get into something to program it. and this isn't working. I spent several hours on the phone with their "smartphone gurus" and no one had a freakin clue why they couldn't program the phone.

is that the EPST? I read and found the ##778# then and it got me into it. Is that where they need me to get?

also the ESN is different in this menu than it is on in the back of the phone. Do i need to give them the one from this menu instead?

Yes ##778 is for programming. The questions about esn in kinda a issue. Use the one seen in epst and under device information when the phone is turned on. I guess you friend changed the esn. The esn that the towers see is what is in epst so that is what uscc needs.
