anyone have a no "pocketpc" mogul and hard-spl

If you have a mogul without the "pocketpc" and olipro hard-spl installed,

try starting mtty when you are in bootloader and type "info 7"

for an older "pocketpc" mogul I get:
HTC Integrated Re-Flash Utility, Common Base Version : 1.51d
Device Name: Titan, Bootloader Version : 1.20.Olipro
Built at: Sep 26 2007 01:08:26
Copyright (c) 1998-2007 Olipro & HTC - Hard-SPL

CPU ID=0x4107B364
Main Board ID=0x3, CPLD ID=0x9

Do you get a different mainboard id?

Same here. The first Mogul I had did have the "Pocket PC" printed on it. But I had to return it and the one I have now, does not.

It would show that the boards are different between the two and that they _might_ have different hardware, but it appears that they both have the same board id of 0x3, so... they're technically supposed to have the same hardware...

And this matters because......?

If you were a Geek, you wouldn't have to ask... :=)

Geeks:
1. Are naturally curious about what might initially appear to be irrelevant
2. Sometimes irrelevant things become relevant
3. The process of chasing "a" sometimes results in interesting discoveries about "b"
4. The chase itself hones skills for the next chase
5. The chase itself scratches an itch

Ask Lance Armstrong why he likes to ride bikes
Ask Picasso why he paints funny
Ask Beethoven why he composed rhythms inside of rhythms...

Krayziepop 10-05-2007 10:46 PM

Picasso and Beethoven are dead, and I am not freaky enough for a seance...

Lance Armstrong wears pants that are way too tight... I think I will avoid him also... ;)

Besides all that... they say the only stupid question is the one that was never asked. So I say check EVERYTHING!

So then the answer is "just to know" and has no relevence to anything? That's not "geek"...that's "nerd".

relevance was that some people were complaining that their non-pocketpc moguls were slower/crashed more/less reliable than pocketpc moguls. now we know its not the hardware, or at least not the board design

since you obviously dont care, whats the point of posting on this thread at all? you need a hobby.

ebmorgan 10-09-2007 11:30 AM

I'm curious to know why people cared....to see if it's something I would care about. Thanks to no2chem, now I know the WHOLE story behind the concern.

The whole point of these online communities is to inform and assist the public....and share info. I was trying to get the info out of people. I don't think anyone knew the answer to "why" or had bothered to think about it, otherwise they would have volunteered the answer. They just reported their findings because other people were doing it.

Thanks again for the straight answer no2chem....:)

I have no performance issues or memory leak issues.....or bluetooth audio quality issues. I will get my PCB ID so it can be added to the dataset.
