activate sprint mogul on alltel?
 

is there anyway to activate a sprint mogul on alltels network?

I think it can be done by cloning an esn, but there has been a lot of posts about it. Try searching for clone phone. Question, why would you want to activate on alltels? They have to 6800 also.

Probably doesn't want to have to pay the $$$ to buy an Alltel one when he already has one paid for on Sprint. Make the move though, totally worth it!

i heard all i have to do is give my sprint esn number and alltel wil activate it. is this true?

nope that isn't true, and there isn't much u can do. you are totally fucked. Only thing u can try and do is sell the current sprint 6800 and buy a new one from alltell

Call alltel and ask. The nwxt option would be to ebay your mogul and buy a 6800 from alltel.

Or pay more money for a dongle to change esn but your looking at the price of three moguls in order to pay for a dongle :(

ok..i just called alltel and i gave them my esn. they said its not active on any of their accounts. does this mean i can activate it on their network? i didnt mention it was a sprint phone

they use the same phones so if you can get an unlock code from sprint you should be able to unlock the phone and then alltel should be able to flash the phone so that it will work on there network, dont quote me on this but they are able to do it on most phones

i already have the alltel firmware on my phone. how would i get the unlock code from sprint?

is the unlock code the msl code?

Hit up eBay. You'll get rid of your phone quick fast and in a hurry and be on Alltel in no time.

there are people on here that have the 6800 on cricket - I can't imagine it would be that hard to get it on alltel?

A lot depends on the carrier, For example sprint and verizon typically will not touch phones that they do not specifically sell, For example, No sprint logo, not going to get activated on sprint.

Alltel may have a different policy on this, But Im not sure... Best thing you can do is go to an alltel store and ask if its possible to a rep, Explain how much you hate sprint and explain you would love to be one of their customers "Without" having to pay out the wazoo for a new PPC.

May I also ask, how did sprint screw up? I swear they have gotta be the king when it comes to mixed service... My experience with sprint is all good, But I sure see plenty of f*** ups all the time from them with friends and clients.

A esn is a esn......but telling the alltel rep its a sprint phone will get you denied.

Give the alltel rep the esn and your done. At least voice will work and maybe text. As for updating the prl, rom, getting data /etc to work you are on your own.

To save alot of trouble, just sell the mogul and buy a alltel 6800.
