The above site sells bluetooth GPS Receivers. I actually like the Oncourse GPS Receiver and its not that expensive. |
I'm horrible with Directions I bought a HoluX for like $45 and use it with TomTom 6 which is flawless for my light usage. I used it today on the 6800, works good :)

I have the holux gps slim and its awesome. I travel all the time and use it quite alot. Although i use I-Guidance for my Software.

I have Holux GPSlim 240, with ONC6 software...I used it today for the first time on my Mogul, it's really nice. :-)
p.s. if you plan on buying them from buygpsnow.com, they actually have coupon code you can use. I bought the bundle from them but via amazon.com, it turned out cheaper than with the coupon because tax wasn't included. |
i bought a Holux M1000 and I plan to use iGuidance with it once it gets here...

thanks for the link im looking into buy the gps for tom tom hopefully it nice does anyone know if tom tom drains alot of ur battery?
|
Tom tom will kill your batter because:
You will have the screen on the whole time you run it It uses a good amount of cpu Usually the brightness has to be all the way up in a car to see the screen well Just get a car charger As for a gps Just offer the dude like 10 less than its posted for and he will take it... Here is the 240 everyone is telling you to get (i use it also) http://cgi.ebay.com/Holux-SIRF-3-GPS...QQcmdZViewItem and here is a bigger but cheaper one (it does more channels, if that matters to you) http://cgi.ebay.com/Holux-M-1000-32-...QQcmdZViewItem |
I also have the Holux GPSlim 240, and a Generic one with the MTK Chipset. Both were bought from www.buygpsnow.com which is a great place for BT receivers. I would recomend the 240. I have mine mounted under my fuse panel and it still picks up a minimum of 6 satallites. Also with the BT GPS you can use it for Google Maps or Live Search. I also have TomTom6, but a lot of the stores or newer item are not listed and since Live Search and Google Maps pulls it info from the web it seems to be more up to date, only down side is that you have to be in the coverage area to use Live Search and Google Maps..
