Mogul Charger Problem

My problem is when I have my phone plugged into the wall, it will charge, but when I'm on the phone, it doesn't. The solid orange LED will start flashing for a few minutes, then it will turn the phone function off to save battery. THEN it will charge.

Any ideas as to WTF is going on, what I can do?

Thanks.

Overheating

Is it possible it is overheating? I read in the manual that the phone has overheating protection and shuts down when the battery gets too hot.

I have no idea.

I mean the battery is just dying, just acts like it would if I was using the phone without it being plugged in. Then as soon as I hang up, it charges just fine.

Re: Mogul Charger Problem

I have this problem!!
Sorry if its an old post... but i'm searching and can only find posts related to the orange LED blinking due to VM/messages or turning off the LED....

The problem is that, when I plug my phone in, it does not charge... and instead of the solid amber led to indicate it is charging, the LED starts to blink... as if to say,
"Hey, i'm blinking cause i'm screwed up and not charging correctly."

Has anyone else run into this and know how to get the phone to charge???
Even when I get it to turn on, the service turns off within a minutes... its annoying as hell.

The blinking LED isn't the issue really, the blinking LED is a symptom of the issue (the phone is not charging when plugged in)...
if you post something about dissabling the LEDs, it will be obvious that you saw the phrase "blinking led" and didn't actually read the post...
This is what I ran into trying to search for a solution, a bunch of people not addressing the problem and suggesting they try the LED fix to turn it off.
I seriously doubt turning off the LED will fix the problem, turning off the LED is used when things are functioning properly (ex: the blue led is blinking to indicate you have service and that it should be working, so if it annoys you... turn it off)
the blinking amber light alerts you for events.... but this is during charging, and is something else entirely.

SOOOO, please and thank you,
does anyone have any real help for this issue??

It IS overheating.

Nothing to worry about, if you put an ice pack under the battery you will see it start to charge.

I just got a replacement for my phone the other day because of this problem. I'm not sure if it's because of the battery, or is it the phone. I guess we'll find out.

Re: Mogul Charger Problem

I use the Seidio windshield charging cradle in my car with the slim black ruberized case. The battery gets really hot in the cradle and the orange light starts to flash. I just unplug the power and let it cool down...plug it back in and all is well.

Something weird I've found is that at night sometimes I'll plug it in to charge and the light blinks randomly but never goes solid. I turn the backlight on then plug it in and it charges fine....strange issue...

Flashing orange LED's can also mean notifications, text messages, voicemail. or anything like that.
