Modem set up on mogul ?
 

Good morning to everyone out there, I'm asking is there anyone out there who knows how to set up a sprint mogul as a modem for your computer WITHOUT going through sprint and paying a extra fee. If you do PLEASE, PLEASE :???: advise how to and if there is anything I have to download supply the links if possible to set up. THANKS

HOW DO I GET THE TRHEE KEYS FOR THE HKLM>Software>OEM>WMODEM SO I CAN SET THE DECIMALS TO 0. DID YOU TRY THIS AND DID IT WORK FOR YOU AS WELL.

You will need a registry editor like PHM Registry Editor.
And yes it works. Watched my Slingbox for 8 hours last Sat with no problems

Okay thanks alot, I looked more into the discussions that were on the link and tried something without using the registry editor. I just went into programs internet sharing, this is after i changed the msl to phone into modem 1st. in internet sharing i changed the network connection to phn as modem and pc to usb, pressed connect then pluged in the usb cord and bam my laptop picked up the internet with a few swconds, so thanks a hole lot.

hey guys this is confusing ive been having some problems with this 6800 since i got it i connect to the net via my ppc6700 before i got my 6800 and it has been a headache ever since right now im sending this connected to my pc on the 6800 using a program called usb modem its limited tell i buy it but there has to be something wrong i edited the registry and got my MSL and switched it to mobile ip preffered but still disconects on me the only way its working fine is with this program i think paying 30 buck ones is not so bad as in paying 40 every month but if you guys can help me out i would really be thankfull

ok i did all of the above...went in with my unlock code, changed to Mobile preferred, set all 3 registry values to 0, set phone as modem etc... but i get the error code of 67 Registration failure. Your PCS Vision username and/or password may be incorrect.

Any ideas on what im doing wrong?

just use internet connection sharing with Sprint PCS and save yourself a world of headache. i use it to tether my macbook with no problems.

if you get an error 67, switch to flight mode, phone mode, then reset.

make sure to do a backup of your phone with working internet. i had to restore a few days ago because i couldnt get rid of the error 67.

Blazin is correct, once you just change your connection sharing to ip preffered just go to your connections on your phone and go to your existing connections and put phone as a medem. Then go to internet sharing on your phone thru programs, p connection should be usb, network should be phone as modem. Plug cord into computer, press connect on your phone then plug cord into phone. Then you should be on with a min or two.
