I agree Gmaps is faster and I like its simplicity over WLS but I like having GPS better. Thx again!

Google Maps does sometimes seem to get itself confused, but I've had it work for 100 miles or more at a time. If it's using good signals all around, it works fine. But it does get lost if the GPS doesn't report properly.

I set up Windows Live today and tried it out on a trip this afternoon. It worked quite well. On the way home, though, I asked it for directlions. It was fine as long as I stayed on its route, but it wasn't very flexible if I strayed from it. It seems to have a strong preference for freeways - even when the freeway route was MUCH longer than the surface streeets, it still tried to put me back on the Freeway. So it should be good for city to city stuff, but maybe less so for crosstown navigation.

Google Maps Tack location problems - try this

I've finally got my google maps track location working. Version 1.2.0.18 on WM5.0

Basically everything worked except when selecting Track Position the blue flashing dot and map just stayed where they were as I moved. If I toggled Track Position it would refresh the dot and map to the current position and just stay there again.

A buddy at work who has also just got a new Titan found a work around somewhere else (not sure where - I didn't ask)

Basically select Track Position and then via Menu->Options->Track Location Settings set the GPS port manualy and then toggle the Speed drop box between 0 and 38400 about 3 or 4 times, and then wait for a few seconds and the map will suddenly start panning with the blue flashing dot staying in the centre.

Interestingly if you leave the speed set to 0 it still works.
