no sound when menu pops
 

I'm a Telus user who upgraded to wm6. I have realized since then when you push the windows button that there is no sound. Anyone have this same problem.

this is just a quirk with WM6 for some reason. It is just as reg entry and a sound file. It will be fixed in the next rom/kitchen. I will look for the fix and post it when I find it again.

Thanks any idea when that will be.

Sorry, forgot about this. Here is the reg that will need to be fixed. Please note the MenuPop sound and its location in the string. You will also either need to find a sound or create one. Then you can name the sound MenuPop.wav or change the reg entry to the name of the sound you choose.

I like it silent. Why would you want it to make noise?

colonel, thanks for the help but I tried this reg edit but it omly changed the sound when an info bubble comes up. What I am talking about is the sound when you press the windows button or tap the start menu, or tap and hold the screen with the stylus. Would you have any idea how this could be fixed.

yes, that is menupop. You need to have the menupop.wav in \windows as well as the reg entry.
